The Jersey City Brew Club is hosting its 4th Annual Homebrew Contest next Saturday, as part of the Jersey City Theater Center‘s Artoberfest. There will be arts, music, beer, and food all day!
The JCBC People’s Choice tasting will go from 3-6PM, with about 20 beers made by local homebrewers. The Thirsty Quaker will be serving two beers:
Double Simcoe IPA – brewed during our August 17th class – 8.3% abv, lots and lots of Simcoe hops.
Wretched Troll IPA – brewed with all the leftover stuff we collect at The Thirsty Quaker. 9.1% abv, possibly the most bitter beer I’ve ever brewed, due to the high amounts of hops involved.
