This is for a FULL TANK OF BEER GAS. You will receive a CGA 580 valve cylinder filled with beer gas. Note that there is a tank deposit attached to this gas swap. If you have an empty gas cylinder with a Thirsty Quaker approved sticker on it (or if your tank was inspected recently), you can exchange it to receive a refund for the deposit amount.

Beer gas is typically 70% N (Nitrogen) and 30% CO2 (Carbon Dioxide), and is used for dispensing Nitro beers like Guinness. It keeps the beer slightly carbonated, while using Nitrogen to push the beer from the keg and give a creamy body, as Nitrogen will not dissolve into the beer.

If you are dispensing coffee or wine, you will need a tank that is 100% Nitrogen. Note that you will need a regulator specific for use with Nitrogen, as the valve is different, and Nitrogen is dispensed at much higher psi.

Most tanks are stainless steel, but in some rare cases you may receive an aluminum tank.
